ISG STUDENT WINS THE BEST BATSMAN AWARD AT

 4th INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL CRICKET PREMIER LEAGUE

12 students of Indian School Al Ghubra attended the 4th International School Cricket Premier League that was held at City Montessori School, Lucknow from 8th to 13th December 2016. The tournament was an initiative to foster goodwill and unity in the world. Cricket teams of International schools from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Nepal, Srilanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and eight Indian schools participated in this tournament.

The members of the ISG cricket team comprising Mohamed Salman, Shrey Sanjeev Sharma, Vishak Vaithiyanaathan, Vrishab Gladwin Dhavale, Dhruv Faraswal, Sridhar Vasu Iyengar, Santhosh Narayan Vaidyanathan, Shamit Adhicary, Sriniketh Sajeevan, Ayush Sunil Gupta, Nakul Mahesh and Gokul Lal were accompanied by Coach Mr. Richard McDonald.

Mohamed Salman, the Captain of the ISG team won the coveted title of the Best Batsman of the tournament. He also won the title of Man of the Match. He was presented with a trophy and an amount of Rs 2000. This tournament was a valuable experience for the team as they got an opportunity to play with cricketers from all over the world.
